The fat farm animal at the window was very rude. The moment I came up to the window. She had a nasty attitude trying to correct me. Then she charges my sister $6 for large cup almost no custard and shes pregnant. Very rude and disrespectful pig . Never coming to the Middletown location again. Plus the ices were all gross . She didnt give us a receipt or her name either . Just fat white lady that looks like a pig .

The loyalty rewards system was down and the window person could not credit the app. I contacted Ritas customer service & using the receipt transaction #, they were able to manually provide the loyalty reward credit within 12 hours. Outstanding !!!

When Ritas associate scanned my app reward page, she couldnt get it to redeem on her cash register. Ritas Customer Service rep Jennifer worked with me until the problem was finally resolved. Jennifer was extremely helpful and professional. Shes a definite asset to the company. Best regards to Ritas and Jennifer.

I am writing to inform you of a distressing experience with a Rita's located in Oakland, PA. The address is 3712 Fifth Ave Oakland, PA 15213.

I was hired at this location on Friday, August 19th.

I am writing to you, less than a week later, after working one shift, and being terminated from the position. I want to preface this by stating that I have worked at two locations in Harrisburg, PA as a loyal employee since March 2021 and I have had nothing but positive experiences. I moved into the University of Pittsburgh last week as a freshman and decided I should apply to work at the Rita's nearby because of my experience and love for Rita's. I figured it would be a seamless transition.

I walked up to the counter on Thursday, August 18th and described my experience at Rita's and was invited to come back the next day when the hiring manager, Caroline Willig, would be working.

The next day, I was invited into the store, filled out some paperwork, and was on my home with a secured job as a treat team member. After discussing my availability, I was added to the schedule for Wednesday, August 24th for my training shift.

My shift went okay. I did all of my duties and cleaned up my messes. I paid for the two treats I took home that night.

However, The manager on duty seemed a bit hostile towards me the whole time. She did not make eye contact with me or introduce herself and she would not talk to me unless ordering me to do something. The environment that she created during this shift made me hesitant about the job. I decided not to think too much about it.

Tonight, less than a week after being hired, I received a vague text from the hiring manager saying that she changed her mind about my employment.

I have attached screenshots of our conversation to this email. As you can see, The email is vague and unprofessional. Before she could even respond about my upcoming scheduled shifts, she had removed my access to this location's homebase.

As I explained to Caroline in the text messages, we agreed on a few shifts per week. My availability was fairly open and I had requested time off for the upcoming Jewish Holidays in the fall, trying to be proactive.

In addition, I turned down other job offers on campus because of this. I received no heads up or notice and was not even permitted to work my scheduled shifts. I blocked my time off for the upcoming shifts and it feels inconsiderate to take them away from me.

I do not think that the text message Caroline wrote to me, firing me, was appropriate. My name was not capitalized, there was little punctuation making it difficult to understand, and it felt overall very unprofessional.

When I asked for the number to Human Resources, Caroline claimed she "is HR".

This is a very difficult experience for me considering how much I love working for Rita's and how excited I was to begin this job. I am hoping something can be done about this as I feel I was wrongfully terminated, my time was wasted, and I was taken advantage of. If someone would be willing to discuss this with me in greater detail and hopefully resolve this issue, I would be happy to provide more information. I am hoping this can be resolved easily.

You seem to think very highly of yourself and in a small amount of time you are being overly critical of management. You show up and then give a list of religious holidays you need off?

The real world doesn’t work that way. There are dozens of applicants that will work and request nothing.

Store scanner not working so I can not get my rewards

I have been in this store every few days for weeks and the scanner never work, therefore I cannot get my points that I am earning. I have been calling customer service and just get told I have to wait for someone to get back to me.

I have several receipts and should have already been able to redeem my free item, yet cannot do anything because I have to wait for a call back. I really would appreciate someone getting the scanner working at the Brentwood, 94513 location in California. I am wasting time having to reach out and wait for someone to get back to me. If you cannot reach me on my cell, please call my work at 925-253-****.

I actually love this place and am obsessed.

I am driving several miles a day coming out to buy this stuff, its the greatest ever, I just buy so darn much, I would like my reward. Thank you.

Gift card question about service or state tax

I bought two $25.00 gift cards. The charge was $53.31. I asked if there was tax and the cashier said no, it is a service fee. However, my receipt shows it as NJ Sales tax of 6.625%. I find a service fee of $3.31 odd and I have never paid tax on any gift card I have bought. Would like to know know why I was charged this extra amount.

Hiring of 14 year olds

While talking to an employee about working for Rita's, I was shocked to hear they on pay $6 per hours and then supposedly their tips were supposed to make up for the minimum wages. But, how can they determine they have gotten at least the amount of money to make up the difference if no one counts the tips. Also, I understand that they have a difficult time getting their pay stubs. Poor Management??

Listen to whom ever is the parent of Brandon who works at Rita’s in Surprise on Litchfield . I absolutely love him and adore his personality I was having problems with my service and payment in the store and he, with no hesitation paid for my kids order. It was not the price that mattered but the humbleness with no hesitation that melted my heart. And when I would not accept that, he politely said it’s too late I paid already. I was so taken back by him Being a young adult with so much in his spirit to do something like that I hugged him and told him I would pay it forward next time. THANK YOU BRANDON my kids are happy and excited for their snacks

I visit of you this location close to my home and Franklin Park New Jersey. I purchased a twist a small size and paid over five dollars with tax at gather well I really love Rita's flavoring of the ice cream no complaints today however when I was eating ice cream you have the top you do around you lick around your not a girls however there was a big hole in the middle of the ice cream call asleep OK I paid you almost over five dollars with tax and that there's a big hole in the ice cream with his no ice cream what is that all about. This was the second time that I experience it I thought maybe it was the person who made my call me the first time but I'm finding out that that's not so I will no longer purchase anything from Rita's for that reason

We were so happy to find a Rita's when we moved here.BUT...THIS one in Little Egg Harbor, NJ is a disgusting disappointment! We saw hundreds of little black bugs all over the shelves outside the serving windows and, when I repeated to the clerk "the window sills are covered with bugs," she finally said, "I know..." I took my Gelati's in the 'air space' above the shelves and got outta there! I wrote to corporate TWICE and I never even heard from the owner-- it's obvious they're not concerned or maybe they don't think we deserve better! We WILL NOT be patronizing Rita's in LEH, NJ EVER again! GROSS!

RITA'S OF SURPRISE NO REFUND POLICY

I bought a custard cone at Rita's in Surprise, AZ for almost $4 and felt sick after eating a few bites and kindly asked for my money back. The employee we do not give money back and tried to offer me coupons. I said not thanks because i was sick after eating it, why would i want to come back especially after once they get your money it's gone? He called his manager and said nope, no money back. This was not posted anywhere in the store and i complained again with no resolution and got very frustrated. I would not recommend them and save your money go to McDonald's and get the same cone for under a buck.
